Voltaic is a top-down multiplayer shooter and winner of Tranzfuser 2016.
My main focuses on the project were Team Leader, Game and Level Designer, however given small size of the team, I also took upon other roles but to smaller degrees. As Game Designer I was tasked with designing and prototyping game mechanics and systems, balancing and testing each individual aspect, and creating and maintaining a GDD to direct the project. As a Level Designer I was tasked with creating the game's maps through paper-based designs, block maps, all the way up until the final pass. The levels were heavily influenced by the mechanics meaning I had to adhere to certain limitations such as geometry that must be easily readable from above.
The game has been showcased at a number of events such as EGX, PlayExpo, Insomnia and PC Gamer Weekender.
